Maybe you are trying to hunt down a very obscure free indie video game from the 90s. And, I would say, that the answer depends on what it is that you are looking for, and what it is that you value in a torrent search engine. The first thing to consider before checking out any torrent site, though, is this: do you want to use a generalized torrent search engine that offers a little bit of everything, or would you rather use a specialized one that caters heavily to one specific type of indie content over others? Both options, of course, have their positives and negatives.
And each torrent search engine has its own strengths and weaknesses. With so many different torrent search engines out there to choose from, how are you supposed to be able to discern which one is right for you? Going at it the old-fashioned way – one at a time, through trial and error – can be very time consuming (not to mention exceedingly stressful).
